I was running Windows 10 on my Aspire 3. After some updates were installed, the laptop needed to restart. Now when I turn it on, I get a message that says there is no bootable device. I can't even get into BIOS and I don't have a disk or USB to boot from.

What are my options?

Take out your CMOS battery for some time (like 15 min plus) in order to allow the BIOS to reset its memory and settings, put it back then press F2 to get into bios. After and when you are in the bios, change the boot order to USB. Make sure that you “Create Windows 10 installation media” from here: Download tool now that has a GPT/UEFI type format, otherwise and if you use an MBT/Legacy computer to create the "Windows 10 installation media" it wont work, it has to be a GPT/UEFI format. Then boot into  “Advanced options” (see caption below) and use either “Startup Repair” or “Go back to the previous built” try that. if you haven't got the knowledge to do the above then take it to an Acer Service and get them to fix it for you.
