I have an Acer Aspire M5-481PT, and for the first few weeks my touch screen worked fine. One day though, it suddenly stopped responding, and so I did some research and tried to figure out what was wrong. According to the websites that I looked at, my laptop was missing the "Touch and Pen Driver."
So I contacted Acer and told them that my computer was under warranty and that I needed this driver. They told me that they couldn't provide me with the driver and told me to contact Microsoft. I did so; Microsoft told me that they didn't want to give me the driver because it might void my warranty, so they told me to contact the supplier, Best Buy, directly. I did so; Best Buy told me that they didn't have the driver and so they told me to contact Geek Squad. I did so; Geek Squad told me that they could give me the driver for a fee. I told them that my computer was under Acer software warranty and they told me that such a thing didn't exist and that they would have to charge me to give me the driver.
I didn't know that it was possible for me to encounter so many idiots within 72 hours, but I guess we learn something new everyday, don't we?
In the end, I still need my driver. Acer, since I am under warranty, please provide me the needed driver.
