Have an older Aspire 7535 - 5415 / AS7535 (Part Number: LX.PCF02.081) (Windows 7) laptop that has power but WILL NOT BOOT !

 - No error message
 - No beep
 - No cursor
 - Power light comes on
 - Fan spins
 - Black screen

I know it's either a video chip possibly burned out or the BIOS have become corrupt.
If it's a hardware issue I know there's nothing I can do at home but if it's the BIOS I should at least try.

I've downloaded the zipped file containing all the files necessary for upgrading the BIOS on this model but do not have the procedure necessary for flashing it on a machine that doesn't boot.
I know for some laptops it involves renaming some files and holding the Fn and Esc keys while hitting power with a flash key attached with the files.
I just need the details for THIS model.
Thanks for any help.

If FN+F6 doesn't toggle the screen on then try FN+F5 to try to turn an external VGA screen on. If you get a VGA screen, then the LCD cable probably needs to be replaced from wear and tear of opening closing the lid too much. If neither screen works, then yes it's either the integrated GPU that's failed or the BIOS chip itself. The procedure for the Phoenix BIOS is to look for a wph, rom, or bin extension file in the DOS subdirectory of the unzipped BIOS download from the ACER site. Rename it BIOS.wph and copy it to a FAT32 formatted USB stick with an activity LED. No other files can be on the stick. Insert the stick. Press and hold the FN+ESC keys and turn the machine on. If you see LED activity, then release the keys. If successful, the flash should take less than 5 minutes and the machine will automatically shut off. If unsuccessful, try another USB slot. Jack E/NJ
