Acer Aspire V3-574 nil response on power up

Hi

Acer Aspire V3-574-73z1 laptop which has totally no response on pressing power up button. It accidentally ran flat over weekend with no power cable, and has since died.
Assuming a drain of capacitors and NVRAM might clear the BIOS of incorrect setting, have done the following:

Removed battery, BIOS CR2032 battery, power adapter and held Power button down to clear capacitor.
Also tried the battery reset button for 10+. Seconds
Also removed SSD, RAM modules and repeated the above actions.
Also tried booting with no battery but with power adapter plugged in.
All the above make zero difference. No response from motherboard.

When battery installed and power adapter plugged, the LEDs are amber, then turn blue indicating that the battery is 100% charged.
Brand new CR2032 installed should the BIOS battery have been drained.

Can hear a faint clicking relay sound in front left corner, where LEDs and USB ports are located when Power button is pressed (only with power adapter and battery installed).

This has been a valued workhorse with almost zero problems over the years and still very performant spec, so would like to recover it if possible. Has the motherboard had a component failure? Are there any additional actions I could take here?

It sounds like the battery has fallen below the threshold voltage, which disables charging in order to stay away from overheating/fire issues.

Hi, many thanks for the suggestion.

Would it then not boot successfully if the battery is removed, but with power adapter plugged in? I have assumed that that power combination would / should work, but it doesn't. All that happens is clicking from the motherboard relay (actually in the middle of the board and not the corner as I described above).

Even with the battery disconnected, the laptop must turn on. However, it is necessary for the interlock button to be pressed down:

Thanks. I have been replacing the casing, during the sequence of testing various scenarios, but not screwing it on fully. It has been fully clicked around the edge clips on the keyboard/rest plate.
Will try a full screwing in, but any interlock would be being depressed by the case being reattached.

I still wonder if the BIOS has got its underwear twisted, but the NVRAM drain should have fixed that.

Sometimes the difference between that button getting pressed or ot is a very small increment. Try putting some electrical tape to force the button closed for testing...

Evening.
Well the motherboard doesn't have the interlocks presented on the image above sadly. There are holes through which the base plate's projections penetrate and one does click so that must be the interlock.

Baseplate fully screwed down, clicked in and secured. No boot possible. Centre of the motherboard still clicks steadily when the power-on button is depressed. (Car starter motor analogy is accurate here).

However, previously the battery led was amber for 10 seconds before turning blue. Now the led is just amber suggesting a full, more comprehensive charge is taking place. That is the only behaviour difference detected.

Will dismantle, remove battery, reassemble, then try again to boot from power adapter only. Or just wait until the amber goes blue again! The interlock is the one variable I had not fully resolved before, so worth a bit more effort I reckon.

Hi,
Have exhausted all combinations of battery in/out, power bank in/out and full reassembly with all the above options, taking care to ensure any interlocks are depressed by fully seating backplate. Nothing. Nil response whatsoever on attempted power up.
Thanks to the suggestions posted above, but the only option is to disassemble and extract the motherboard to see any burnt components as it must have blown. Shame as a was a well used & lovely laptop.
