Where to get replacement part/fix my nitro 7 fans?

Hi guys!

So, long story short one of my coolers started being noisy as hell and then it stopped for good. It's the CPU cooler from my Acer Nitro 7 (AN715-51)

Ive sent a request to Acer and they quoted a price of $499... That is half the price of the whole laptop and I got it about a year ago so no warranty now.

I tried looking for a whole heatsink to replace the old one but I can't seem to find one to buy on the whole **** internet.

All I could find was a heatsink for the older Acer Nitro 5, but it's different and it won't fit.

So, any ideas where I could buy one or how I could replace the fan?

The fan assembly is the same for AN515-54 so you can look for videos for this model (AN515-54) as well

Thanks. The Acer part number for the full thermal module is:

24.Q5FN2.001 - THERMAL MODULE DIS W/PLASTIC FAN*2 FOR 1650

Did you contact the regional Acer parts partner?

The fans are removable just you have to unscrew some screws look at this picture -

The fans are removable just you have to unscrew some screws look at this picture -

I've unscrewed all the screws but the plate doesnt come off. It is all in one piece? I can kinda lift the bottom side of the plate off but the top part is like one whole piece? When I do this, am I removing the entire heatsink fan assembly? Or am I just trying to remove the fans? Sorry, Im new to this type of stuff.

You can do one of each or both. The little black screws are for removing the fan cover and fans.

I am having great difficulty trying to remove the fan covers. Only the bottom side of the cover "opens". The top part does not budge at all. Is there something I am doing wrong? Are there video tutorials for fan replacement? I've only seen it on nitro5's and they are a little bit different.

I'll try contacting them today, but if it is remotely anywhere close to the price I was quoted earlier, then I think this wouldnt be an option for me.

The video that was linked by someone farther up is a Nitro 5 but the assembly does look like the one you have where you have one larger piece on top that looks like it's essentially just and extra fan cover that you have to unscrew the fans from once you remove the assembly. It could be that there's just a screw that got missed. You may want to also just check to see if there's a piece of tape stuck somewhere it shouldn't be that's making it harder to separate the cover from the fans itself.
