Hello, my acer switch 7 BE goes BSOD on stop error code WHEA_UNCORRECTIBLE_ERROR from time to time. Sometimes it happens few minutes after log in to desktop and sometimes happens at unexpected moments. I have read online about this error and fixes but nothing seems to get it right. I have already send it back to the repair center, which links to acer hq. They said they had the motherboard and ssd changed and even get the driver updated, but it came back continuing to have the same problem. So, I guess this might be the hardware driver problem.

Then, some forum from the internet had suggested to check the Event Viewer, and look for errors alike, and I found out the critical error reports are about kernel power id 41. The site suggests me to disable the audio driver, and it seemed to work. No bsod so far only when I disable the audio driver Realtek High Definition Audio(SST). A red 'x' icon appear on the sound/speaker icon on the taskbar.

Now I'm continuing to do my work without any audio and is it disappointing. Is there anyway to fix this? Anyone experiencing the same?

p/s: sorry for no response on my previous post especially on unrelated topics.

I've been seeing the same symptoms over the last couple of weeks, the crash dumps point more to the Intel chipset drivers. You might try disabling Intel Display Audio and Intel Smart Sound Technology (SST) to see if that cleans it up. They likely released drivers that's causing issues, but I haven't been able to pin it down to one thing.

    Hi,
Have you tried the Audio driver from Acer support site? If not, go to the link below, download Audio driver and install and see whether it helps.

Before this I had the latest (according to windows) version with date 6/2/2018 that got me into this problem. After that, I installed from the manufacturer site (acer) same with the link given, which stated the version 6.0.1.8295 and doesn't make any difference. From the link it says the date 15/1/2018, but when i check through device manager, the date is 7/11/2017.
  • If the original driver doesn't work, you could try a Repair install, you have to backup important data to another external drive, follow the instructions in the link:Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade | Tutorials (tenforums.com)

Thank you very much, no bsod happened so far after doing what is suggested. Seems disabling the drivers only affects my mic. But, at least for now I can still hear my speaker and headphone even after Intel Display Audio and Smart Sound Technology(SST) being disabled. Hopefully Intel can come up with a solution for any user facing this problem.

Yeah, I haven't had the issue either since I disabled those two. Hopefully Intel will get a fix out soon...

Since I'm currently using my laptop a lot, I won't dare to risk anything yet when it comes to this kind of repair instruction which I may follow incorrectly. Anyway thank you for the suggestion  :)
