    Hi,
It has different speed and timings than your current RAM, it's always better to install memory modules with same specs as the existing RAM, so I would suggest you getting a 8GB DDR4 2400MHz module for better performance, your intended Crucial module will work but it will downclock to slower RAM speed(2400MHz) and system will not take full advantage of dual-channel mode due to different size modules(8GB+4GB).

Your Nitro 5 AN515-42 can take a max cap of ram of 32GB DDR4 (see here: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/acer/nitro-5-an515-42) why would you want to add/combine your existing 8GB with a 4GB? Get an additional 8GB DDR4. Also, if you install this ram then this ram at DDR4-2666MHz will run at DDR4-2400MHz as and if you combine different speed ram then the ram always runs at the lowest speed e.g you will have total 12GB at 2400MHz, it’s a waisted addition and will lower the potential performance of your Nitro 5 AN515-42.
