Acer predator G9-793 instant shutdown while gaming .. overheating !!

Hi : 
i have this laptop for over 2 years now .. i did full cleaning and  thermal paste thing around 8 months ago . recently laptop shuts down whenever playing a game , when using normally it wont happen .

can anyone help me with this ?

sry for the late reply .. i did  a fan cleaning , repaste to make sure it is not overhearing problem . now the temps cpu on 45-48 while working  gpu 36 ( while gaming cpu 70 -75 max  gpu 60 .
the thing is its random .. it shuts down only while playing games ... i work on my laptop for hours and nothing happens .

once i start a game it might last for 10 mins then shuts down , sometimes instantly .
i tested the ram all seems fine .
No OC  on both gpu cpu .

Can you run a stress test and see if the same happens?

hi i have the same problem, when i run a stress test it doesn't shutdown.

done stress test  it's weird ----->  only  overheating in core 2  97c   ( other cores are fine )

It could be that its crashing because the temp in that core reaches 97'c. Can you try running a stress test on a single core? I dont know if thats possible.

ok i did a full cleanup ( fans included ) re-paste cpu+ gpu ...  stress test is stable  not exceeding 60c temperature .  YET !!   start a game after a min instant shutdown   
i noticed that while charger not plugged in i can play longer then it temp start rising .
while charger plugged in temps are fine yet laptop shuts down .

no it's stable now . yet i started Cyberpunk 2077 and after a min instant shutdown .  i used heaven benchmark and the results are stable . 
battery wear shows 50% btw .  i'm trying everything here .

could be that core 2 didnt get enough paste, causing it to heat up more. this happens

woha !!! the weirdest thing just happened !! 
battery was 100% charged .. i started cyberpunk , removed charger .. after 10 sec laptop shuts down and i couldnt power up the laptop until i plugged it in.
but the BATTERY indicator was 1% ??  how is this possible ?

I think your battery or your charger is not working. So if you unplug the battery it switches off very soon?

only while gaming ,  normal usage its fine .. no shutdowns .
