Hi,

I have a problem with charging the battery on my Acer Aspire 5 A515 lapop especially while playing GTA V on it. I tried to solve the issue by changing the battery plan to "Balanced" and decreasing the Maximum processor frequency to 90% on both charging and on battery options but still noting happens.
Any idea how to fix it? I looked for solutions and didn't find any but it looks like this problem is very common.
Here's the screenshot of the system test.

It might help if you actually describe the problem while playing GTA. If it's video stuttering, the battery must be 100% and plugged in BEFORE starting heavy game loads for maximum play time. This is because the battery must sometimes complement charger power under heavy loads. When the battery drops to about 50%, power to the CPU/GPU may automatically drop so battery starts charging again but the game play will be adversely affected.   Jack E/NJ

The battery i s100% charged and I've set the plan for the battery to "Balanced". When the game starts, the orange LED starts blinking and the battery is no longer charging so at that time maybe it consumes power only from the battery because it drops really fast, maybe within 1 hour. It drops to 7%. When the game is no longer active, the problem still exists.
So far I've tried to reset the battery, update drivers for Windows 10 but nothing seems to work.

Nope. It's consuming power from both the battery and the charger from the get-go under high GTA power demands. That's why the LED is blinking orange and battery capacity drops fast. Your charger output is probably only rated 45 or 65 watts. So you'd be lucky to get a 30-60 minutes game time at full game load with cooling fans, display, and CPU/GPU all going full tilt. Please understand that the A5 series does not have the power handling capacity of 350-500watt desktops or even 135watt gaming laptops with  bigger batteries, cooling fan and case enclosure capacities. There are trade-offs when using smaller laptops under high power demands.    Jack E/NJ
