My laptop cannot recognize my android device when plugged in via USB cable. I tried 2 cables already, even the USB -C port, it still doesn't work. This has been happening for a few months and it has been bothering me since I planned to back up pictures in my laptop. Thank you in advance!

With your Android device unplugged, open DeviceManager. The plug your Android device into the USB port. What happens to DeviceManager screen? Jack E/NJ

Firstly what is the “Android” device that you are talking about? Is it a tablet or a smartphone? Usually when the USB is not recognised its because you haven’t got the appropriate USB driver for your Android device (see if there is a specific USB driver) or you haven’t allowed the USB connection on your Android device, this has to be done when the “notice” on your Android device comes up.
