If you are still having trouble with the ACER Aspire E5-511 touchpad problem, maybe I can help you. It may not be due to the touchpad itself.
I used to have the same problem, and search online, why and how to fix it. However, still could not find an answer. However, I realized that it may not be due to the touchpad, or could have been a result from something else. So I checked all the devices installed and see which one most likely is not functioning correctly. Result, it was the "Intel(R) Trusted Execution Engine Interface" that stopped functioning for some odd reason. The updated version of intel did not work. So all I did is roll back the version and presto. The Touchpad worked again!
So I hope this helps.
