I did my software update yesterday and shutdown and update, then few minutes later it showed Preparing Automatic Repair, I did not know what to do so I let it run. It has been 14 hours and is still not done. What should I do?

That’s too long as your laptop gets stuck with an “Automatic Repair Loop” or is attempting to repair forever because Windows thinks that there is a problem with your laptop while there is not!

Go here: https://www.fonepaw.com/windows/windows-10-automatic-repair-loop.html “How to Fix Automatic Repair Loop in Windows 10/8.1/8” and do the fixes that they recommend as its too long to explain here, good luck.
