Hi Friends,

My brand new Philips SHP9500 headphones are not working properly with my Acer Aspire 5 laptop. They keep disconnecting during office meetings. The audio also keeps cracking off and on. Is it some compatibility issue? I read this review before buying the Philips SHP9500 Headphones: https://headphonesproreview.com/philips-shp9500-headphones-review/ but did not come across any compatibility issues highlighted by existing customers. Should I get my laptop's audio input checked? Not sure what to do.

Sounds more like either a  cable, plug or jack hardware issue, than a compatibility issue. Try moving the plug from side to side or slightly in and out when it happens. You should also test the headphones on another machine if possible. If not, or in addition to this, pick up a cheap pair of stereo earbuds to see if they also keep "cracking off". Jack E/NJ
