Audio difficulties, and why so many sound device installations?

Aspire TC-885-ES14 desktop computer. Once again, today, our audio was not functioning and took many attempts to get it back.  Troubleshooting audio never helps to get the sound back when it vanishes. This sometimes seems to happen after using headphones whether bluetooth or wired/plugged into headphone jack at the front of the desktop box and then removing those, but occasionally it happens for no apparent reason.

I finally got the sound back just now by working through all the numerous sound devices listed in my Win10 Sound Settings and setting one of the sound devices profiles labelled as "Speakers (RealTek(R) Audio) as Default. There are also 15 apparently identical occurrences of the sound device "Speakers (SoundT Audio) installed in Windows 10. I don't know why they are there, if I need them or what would happen if I deleted them. (Those redundant and mysterious sound device profiles are in addition to sound device profile for my web cam and bluetooth headpones.)

It's probably Windows 10's fault that device drivers are so mysterious and do not actually indicate to users what device they represent, if they belong to built-in sound in the Acer computer or instead, for example, to the external speakers I am actually using. The redundant mystery drivers make it hard to fix. Nevertheless, the computer itself seems involved in the system so regularly losing track of the sound Playback device and I see posts from other Acer users with different devices having trouble with losing their audio.

Cannot edit original post. The 15 identical audio devices installed in my Acer read as "Speakers (SndT Audio)".

Any chance you have something like this installed?
