I recently purchased a GT 1030 gpu, installed it properly in the pcie slot, and connected it to my monitor with a DVI-D cable, when i try to power on the pc, it doesnt boot up and beeps 5 times in short intervals. System boots up fine with my onboard graphics when gt 1030 not installed.

Yes, your M2610 came originally with Windows 7 and doesn't have a UEFI BIOS. Most of the newer GPUs require UEFI to function, since they load a portion of their software as part of the boot process before Windows loads. Do some Googling to see which cards support a Legacy BIOS and swap the 1030 out for one of them.

What if i replaced the motherboard with a compatible one?, would that be a possible workaround?

Yeah, and UEFI motherboard should do fine with the GPU, but a newer MB will often mean you also need a newer CPU and newer memory, since they all have to match the chipset. It might just be easier to find a newer computer...
