Should I install this Insyde Software - Firmware 5.34.1.7 update? (Helios 300 PH315-53)

Hi, I recently got this optional windows 10 update on my laptop and I'm not sure if I should install it. I've already updated my BIOS to v1.07 from the acer driver support page. This particular version - 5.34.1.7 seems to be an older version of the firmware as the latest one on Microsoft update catalog is 5.41.1.7, which translates to BIOS v1.07 when I click on the "more info" button. I'm attaching screenshots of the latest version's "more info" page and the windows 10 optional update page.

You already have newer bios than that, so don't install it.

I'm confused, I've also updated mine to BIOS v1.07 but its says that I have the 5.34.1.7 version, should I update to the 5.41.1.7?

Wait...I can't find this in device manager. Did you install the optional update? Also, I am not sure about manually installing 5.41.1.7. Maybe you should contact support regarding manual installation of firmware as sometimes the manufacturer (Acer) is slow to push out the update on its drivers download page. The whole reason behind this optional update thing is to help push out BIOS updates faster to users.

JoseYTGamer Avent4d0R i would recommend to disable windows updates completely and especially never let windows install drivers/firmware as your chance of getting the laptop bricked its very high (loads of ppl here got paperweights after MS started to force broken bios updates via windows updates and if it gets bricked only acer can fix it as youre not able to reflash it yourselves via normal procedures)  so only update whatever you need manually and when needed :)
