Spin 713 Random Restarts

My chromebook spin 713 is about 2 months old and has recently started restarting on its own. It will do it when I'm actively using it and also when it goes to sleep. I'll take a break for 20 mins and walk back into the room and the initial lock screen will be on. Today I observed it going to sleep and 1 minute later I hear the fans turn on just as it does on start up. Sure enough, it decided to reboot. It also did it once during a zoom meeting which was extremely inconvenient. I've seen other models have similar issues, is this something that this model deals with too? How do I correct it, especially since it's very random?

Uninstalled the Acer portal to check if it fixed according to this: https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/540852/random-restarts

Do Chromebooks have the Acer portal? I can't seem to find it. I'm probably not looking in the right place.

No, Chromebooks don't have the Acer Portal installed. Do you think it might be triggered by overheating?

I have no idea, it's so random. The 713 has fans and I have it on a stand that doesn't block the airflow at all. I know there was a problem with one of the apps a month ago that was causing overheating issues on chromebooks but I double checked and it looks like I'm not being affected by it. Is there a way to review what was going right before the restart? Btw, it hasn't restarted for a couple of days now.

I don't know of anything on a Chromebook that acts like Event Viewer on Windows, but then I just play around with my Chromebooks, I don't use them seriously enough to have that depth of knowledge...
