Just bought an Acer KG281K monitor to use with my Linux system. Monitor is great, however it is slow to wake up compared to my 2nd monitor, a 24" Dell. When I set my power settings in Linux Mint, I set the monitors to sleep after 5 minutes, and yes, they do go to sleep. HOWEVER, when they wake up the Dell displays first and all my windows etc "shift" across to the Dell monitor.
I found a setting in the Acer monitor menu which turns "off" slow startup, but the issue still remains. I am now going to try connecting the monitor to my PC via HDMI and installing a HDMI EDID pass-through plug in an attempt to fix this.
My issue is that I shouldn't have to do this. The monitor and displays should just WORK!
