Help appreciated. Wifi not working. "Limited Connectivity".

Hi there, I'll try and make this as short and simple as possible.

A friend of mine who owns an Acer Aspire (5253-BZ660) was recieving wifi with no problems where she lives, until recently. Two weeks ago, the internet connection went down indefinitely and as a result, the wireless router had to be replaced. After its' replacement, she was the only person whose laptop wasn't receiving an internet connection where she lives. The laptop would see all of the surrounding access points, but would be unable to connect. It would repeatedly give a "Limited Connectivity" message.

I have tried to fix this myself, but can't. I've cleared out all of the networks under "managing networks" and started fresh with that single, new connection. I have tried to manually find the connection and connect. I've tried to boot up an internet browser while being in "limited connectivity". Having the laptop try and "resolve the issue" by itself was useless as well. Trying to connect the laptop with my own wifi doesn't work either. I even set the laptop back one month through a system restore.

Nothing has been working since the internet originally went out for her two weeks ago. Does anyone have a clue as to what has happened here? Thanks in advanced.
