Acer AL1715-Volume Box always on display in middle of desktop

How do I remove the Volume box from my acer AL1715 monitor that is right in the middle of my desktop? I've tried the options the monitor has (auto, <, >, Menu, Power) and none take it away. I've attempted to create an account with the serial number to do the online chat with Acer however the serial number on the back of the monitor does not register with their site. This is a very old monitor I'm using as a 2nd monitor but would be helpful to not have to move my items around on the screen as the Volume Box blocks text right in the middle. Thank you!

Double check to make sure it doesn't have a button stuck. The volume display should go away shortly after making changes.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately that does not work. None of the buttons on the monitor (Auto, <, >, Menu, Power) do anything when I push them, pushing/holding them. I've never adjusted the volume on the monitor. Unplugged it for awhile too and when powered up, the Volume box is still smack in the middle :(

Likely there's something wrong in that board that holds all the buttons/switches. Depending on your handy-ness you might be able to pull it apart and fix the ones that's acting stuck.
