FAQ & Answers
The simplest way and quickest way is to do a software command prompt as administrator check for your Aspire TC-705 which is the best way to find out the max ram for your system. See here how to do that: https://www.maketecheasier.com/how-to-find-out-maximum-ram-capacity-of-computer/ and also use CPUz (https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html) to see your existing ram specs and match those specs or go to the a max ram of DDRL3-1860MHz as I've also done and it works 100%.
The rule is that you have to match the speed and timings of your either your existing ram as that will work, it doesn’t matter if its not from the same manufacturer as long as its the same speed and timings. Don't try and put quicker ram e.g. from existing ram of lets say DDRL3-1333MHz and jump to DDRL3-2133MHZ as your chipset will not handle those speeds and the ram will not work. Best is to get CPUz install it and find out your existing ram specs and if you have DDRL3-1333MHz as your existing ram then you can go up to a max of DDRRL3-1866MHz and/or match your existing ram speed and timings and if you want new and faster ram then, get a 2x matching kit (e.g. 2x DDRL3-1860MHz) because a kit has matching ram speeds, timings and are the best way to upgrade your ram in a pair and to get “Dual Channel” and the best speeds and performance, its a very simple formula.
And in CPU Z
