I was using my Nitro 5 earlier, when suddenly it turned completely off and went to a black screen instantly. I brought it into the kitchen and plugged it in. It's was charging for around an hour, and seemed fine when I first plugged it in, it had the orange light. When I come back, there is no orange light, and when I try to power it on, the blue light blinks 5 times, and then nothing else happens.

    Hi Quakiy
when the charger is connected to the laptop and if its showing a orange light->then it means that the unit is charging. if the charge is 100% then it will show a blue light. you will also have blue light if the unit is turned on.

    >>> If the unit is not turning on then tried to do a power drain. Shutdown the laptop. Disconnect the charger. Disconnect the external display. Please check for a battery reset PIN hole at the bottom of the device. The reset hole would have a battery symbol next to it. Insert a paperclip into the hole and press for 30 seconds. Let the computer sit for 5 minutes with no power. Reconnect the charger and power On the laptop. Hopefully it should work. :) My wife has an ACER Nitro 5 that she uses infrequently She keeps it on the charger all the time Acer Community
