Hi,
Recently I came through this error "Power Surge on the USB Port" on my Acer swift 3. One of the USB ports is not working and the error message kept popping up again and again after discarding. I was able to get rid of the message by turning of the notifications but since then my laptop battery is draining even after shutting down. The laptop side where USB port is heating constantly after shutting down the system.

Can anyone help regarding this?

It sounds like you have an actual hardware problem with that port. Likely the power signals are partially shorted to ground, causing both the heat and the drain. Can you see any damage within the port?
