^^In order to use hardware acceleration on all the new browsers like Firefox^^, the gpu driver from Intel, which in my case is only distributed by Acer, needs to be updated. I tried to install the Intel gpu driver directly from Intels site, but it gives the error that the driver is not compatible and that the manufacturer (Acer) needs to be contacted. Message says: "Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer".

The problem is that all the up-to-date browsers like Firefox, Chrome and Edge (chromium) have the same issue in not recognizing my notebooks Intel gpu for hardware acceleration, which results in high cpu usage, stuttery video playback and low battery life. However the gpu has build in hardware acceleration and it is recognized when using the old Edge browser or Internet Explorer, just not on the newer browsers, which apparently need an updated driver in order to recognize the gpu.

Is it appropriate to ask for a gpu driver update for my notebooks intel gpu?
It's an Acer Notebook ES1-131 from 2016 with the n3710 processor.
