I've had this laptop for about a month now, it worked all fine although recently it started to shut down when I placed the lid down. I fixed it by holding the pinhole down with a paper clip for about 5 seconds. Today October 10, 2020 it won't boot up anymore. I charged it, pressed the pinhole for 40 seconds, nothing worked. If anyone could help it'd be greatful!

Firstly, if your Swift 3 SF313-52 is under warranty then take it to Acer Service don’t touch it, as this could void your warranty! If you are desperate and you want to open your Swift 3 SF313-52 up? Then open the back and take the battery plug out and replug it in again (inspect battery for any damage, swelling and/or plug as these could be causes of your problem) as this will reset the whole power system. Also take the SSD M.2 out and replug that too. Try and boot the laptop after that and see if it will reboot? Seeing that your Swift 3 SF313-52 is new there should not be any problems with the battery unless your power system has had a brown out and you have shortened the charger/battery which will give you these sorts of symptoms. Once it boots into Win-10 follow this “How to recalibrate the battery in your Windows 10 laptop” here: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-calibrate-battery-your-windows-10-laptop then you won’t get your symptoms again.

No as you have upset the power settings and its in a loop, it needs resetting by unplugging the battery as you can't reset it with the battery reset switch, which is there for this purpose. Take it to Acer Service they will fix it for you, don’t open it.

edit: When I place the charger in, I'm able to press the power button. It shows a blue light then turns off. Is this a hint?

I'm sure it works, though is there anyway to do it without opening up my laptop?
