I was wondering if there was a way to have my laptop (Aspire A715-72G) detect my devices plugged into the headphone jack as a seperate device from the onboard speakers, as I would like to mute the speakers so that they don't blare loud music when I accidentally unplus my headphones. I have checked other forums which have suggested I access the realtek audio manager's advanced settings, and I was unable to find the button to do so. I was wondering if there was a workaround or another software I could use to solve my problem

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately Acer doesn't separate them in their driver package.

So set your laptop speakers volume using software and set your headphone volume using your headphone's hardware volume control (if you have any).

Sure. It should detect them automatically. Then right click the speaker icon in the tray. Click playback devicess. Click on the checkmarked  internal speaker icon default device. Click properties. Disable under device usage. Jack E/NJ
