Hi all,

after the upgrade to W10 build 2004 (64 bit pro, build 10.0.19041) the PC hang at early boot after the Acer logo, i must power off it to make Win10 boot correctly.

Acer Veriton X 4610g (bios P01 B3, the latest one available).

On another model and brand of PC i had the same problem and to fix it i had to install the Intel sata chipset driver download from Intel's website, since the one
installed by Windows Update had issues.

This PC has "Intel 6 series C/200 series chipset family port sata ahci controller 1c02), but i don't know were to find the right version that do not have this issue.

thanks

massimo s.

@massimo12345 Did you do a clean install of Win 10 or did you attempt an in-place-upgrade?
If you did the latter, then the WiFi card is blocking your upgrade. Temporarily remove it. Have a look here for upgrading to Win 10 pro.
Whilst doing a clean install of Win 10 I did not encounter any problems. I did format the disk as GPT and use an UEFI boot sequence (F12 during boot to enter the boot selecter and start the Windows install media in UEFI mode). I recommend that you do the same.
Regarding drivers for Win 10, Acer and Intel let you down. It's best to stick with the default Microsoft drivers for now.

It is certainly possible to get your X4610G running Win 10 pro.
