Hello everyone, been searching through all past posts and was unable to resolve my issue. I am attempting to boot from USB created using Samsung's Secure Erase in order to wipe the ssd I've installed. However, even after enabling/disabling secure boot, checking my boot options, and pressing F12, the USB still does not appear as a bootable device. I've done this already to other computers running Samsung SSD's before, but the only difference is that they were custom desktops and not a laptop. Any help is appreciated.

Also, I checked BIOS to ensure that AHCI was enabled. I've also tried using the Win10 built in advanced restart to attempt to boot from the USB.

What are you trying to achieve with the “Samsung's Secure Erase”? Are you trying to reinstall Win-10 etc, tell us your purpose of using this software?

You must have done your boot USB incorrectly or the USB is faulty to be a boot USB, use https://rufus.ie/ and redo the USB again as a boot drive. Look at this comprehensive guide hee: https://www.diskpart.com/articles/samsung-magician-secure-erase-usb-not-working-7201.html of how and what to do, simple!

Thanks for the help Steven, as to your question, I am using this to wipe the SSD so that my old passwords and sensitive documents are not recoverable and reuse it as a data drive for non-sensitive documents.

I merely selected the "Create USB" option from inside SSE. As for the USB, I rechecked to make sure I had it formatted to NTFS before using SSE. Using rufus and AOMEI results in no bootable USB or secure erase respectively.
