My laptop shows plugged in ( 0% not charging) - Aspire A515-54G
So yesterday the battery got completely discharged to 0%, then when I opened my laptop again, it was showing 100% charged, but when I unplugged, it shutdown instantly
The orange light glows for 1-2 seconds after plugging in and then blue lights glows.
Then I tried to find more about this online and tried all this things
- reinstalled the battery drivers , nothing changed
- a battery reset ( pressing the battery pin hole for 5 seconds) , nothing changed
- shutdown the pressed the power button for at least 40 seconds, and from then it shows plugged in , 0%, not charging
- disconnected and reconnected the battery, nothing changed
Also in the battery report, full charge capacity and cycle count shows just a dash ( - )
Also before this, there were no problems with it and the battery backup was also good
I read online that newer batteries don't get charged if it drops below the battery voltage,
and newer chargers don't charge batteries from 0%, so could this be the problem ?
Can somebody please help me to fix this issue ?
Thank You
