I just bought a new Acer ET322QU monitor, but the resolution is set at 1920x1080. My laptop is an HP Elitebook with a 8th Gen Core i7-8565 CPU with 16GB of RAM.

How do I change the resolution to 2560x1440? I have tried going into the Display settings in Windows, but the Display resolution drop down menu only goes up to 1920x1080.

Thanks

You should try from your GPU control panel, it should be Inter, nVidia or AMD depends on your laptop specs.

    hey,
to reach 2k resolution you first have to make sure that the HDMI cable u r using supports 2k-4k resolutions.
Then make sure you plug the HDMI cable into the graphics card it self, not the motherboard (that uses CPU graphics (if u have))
After go in to the Nvidia control panel and select your resolution from there.
    Hope this helped
