Installed new ssd with acer recovery disk backup. Completed but cannot boot up. Black screen with error msg top left " no boot up drive". Enter BIOS setting ssd as 1st priority see the reboot hang at Acer logo for 15mins. Reboot to BIOS, boot up setting back to previous setting on USB.
Kindly advise, urgent.

Please post phoneshots of your BIOS Information and Boot tabs if possible. You really should either clone or migrate the system on the old drive to the new drive using a USB-to-SSD adapter cable. A backup often won't work on non-identical drives. Jack E/NJ

Im not sure what go wrong with Acer backup recovery. I ended cloning the ssd instead and manage to get it work without a clean setup from recovery. Look like the recovering files on hdd was not working at all.

No. It does work on my the other Acer laptop. I happen to upgrade 2 diff laptops at the same time. I believe Acer did not load the recovery probably in my hdd that causing recovery issue.

Possibly. It's best to clone or migrate anyway as there's usually no compression routines to make things fit on a stick which can mess things up.  Jack E/NJ
