Just trying to update my bios because it's been effecting my computer running and I can't seem to locate the place to update it in Bio Utility. I've looked through all the categories and can't seem to find anything close. The current bios i'm running is R01-A2

Why do you want to update it? Are you having a specific issue? There are several different versions of the G6-710, and some use different BIOS versions from others. Which CPU do you have? Yours likely tops out with BIOS version R01-A4, but if you don't need the changes you shouldn't do the update.

So what happens is my computer crashes out of no where and I've tried every possible thing and it still crashes. I never changed anything with the computer it just started happening out of no where. So thinking that I've tried everything, I haven't tried updating my bios ad its super out of date so updating it might fix the problem. I've looked on acers website and I found the new bios for my computer btw, I'm just wondering how I download it

Let's try and diagnose the crashes first. Do you run a utility to monitor temperatures? Often an unexplained shutdown while gaming can be attributed to the CPU or GPU getting too hot.

Yes I do and neither of those get hot when gaming, and I check after it crashes and it's still the same temp.

OK, does anything show up in Event Viewer when the crash happens? Do you get a BSOD, error popups or just a shut off like the power was turned off?
