Hi! I would like to ask on any solutions regarding my problem with my laptop acer nitro 5 AN515-42. I've been having problems with it ever since the first few months I bought it.
I first experienced it when I tried to use 3d modelling apps such as blender(sculpt mode) and sketchup(rendering using vray) that it shuts down randomly. At first I thought maybe its just the limitations of the graphics card. But recently when I started to get interested in playing games such as Genshin Impact is where it started to irritate me. It started to randomly shutoff even just entering the loading screen.
I tried searching for solutions online but I can't seem to solve it. The only thing that works for me is when I change the graphics specification of the program to power saving which makes it use the vega 8 graphics so that it wont randomly shut down. Is there anyway I could use my programs that require my gpu without shutting down on me?

Did you check to see temperatures in NitroSense. Is your power profile set to High Performance?

Hi! The temperatures I saw when I noticed when starting the program usually goes over 80° and also reaches up to 89°. The power profile is set to high performance base on the picture I attached.

I would suggest moving it to Balanced. High Performance needlessly puts the CPU at top speeds at all times for zippy performance at the cost of higher temperatures; we don't really need this, even for heavy work.
