Acer Chromebook R11 won't go into tablet mode after most recent update

Hi there,

Issue is when folding keyboard into "tent" position, tablet mode is no longer triggered, and keyboard stays active. there is no other way to trigger tablet mode or flip into portrait mode, that i know of.  I have no peripherals attached, and tried soft reset, hard reset, and powerwash to no avail.

I'm on Version 87.0.4277.0 (Official Build) dev (64-bit) -- i realize this is an unstable channel, and am posting to manufacturer side because I remember this same bug happened in february 2020 and was a result of a missing trigger on acer's side after an update. I also know this is a peer-to-peer moderated forum, but i'd like to see if anyone else is having this same issue. and if, by some miracle, anyone has figured out a fix.

Thanks!

Yes...have the same problem.  I now have to go into settings, display and manually choose the degree as  90 or 240 to use vertically.  Depending if I'm using headphones or the other side, power cord plug in so the cord doesn't interfere.  Inconvenient for sure, but I bought it to use in tablet mode vertical and it worked fine until recent update.
