Acer Chromebook C731T - Touch Screen Not Working

Hello!
Wondering if anyone has any answers or quick fixes. The school I teach at has the touch screen Acer Chromebooks. Starting in August, many of our Chromebook's touch screens have stopped working. I have the students update and restart, and that usually works. However, more often than not, the touch screens stop working again a few days later. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

    Hi @TnTechTeacher

    Try Factory reset your Chromebook
    1. Sign out of your Chromebook.
    2. Press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift + r.
    3. Select Restart.
    4. In the box that appears, select Powerwash. Continue.
    5. Follow the steps that appear and sign in with your Google Account. ...
    6.  -->Note: The account you sign in with after you reset your Chromebook will be the owner account.
    7. Once you've reset your Chromebook:
    8. Follow the onscreen instructions to set up your Chromebook
    9. Check if the problem is fixed
Click Yes if this was useful to you!!

We are having this same issue now too.  They will work for a few minutes and then they stop. Restart and they work again for a bit.  Its becoming increasingly annoying.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I have the same issue, although as a private user rather than through a school, and neither resetting nor powerwashing has helped.
