I am playing Hitman 2016 on my Acer AN15-54 but I cant play smooth because of the fps drop. When the game is loading before the menu the fps can get up to 144 fps or higher until main menu. But when I play on the actual campaign or story it drops to 40 fps and my laptop is also charging. My Nitro Sense is at High Performance also. Same result even I put the graphics to low. I already turned off the vsync. Tried to restart my laptop same result. Thanks in advance for help and replies.

Specs : i5-9300h, GTX 1660ti

Ignore the FPS shown in main menu and loading screens. Those will always be blown up.
In graphics settings, did you see something called ‘particle quality’ or something similar? Hitman has that effect and maybe turning the preset to low does not affect all settings.
What is the refresh rate of your display?

Temps are good, I always max the fan before I play the game. Sometimes when I play games fps are good, but when I play the other day it is not the same anymore, I mean it is not consistent.

Does this fps drop already in the game? Because my other games like dota pubg nba 2k20 are consistent. Maybe a reinstall of the game? Thanks

If you are already doing all the recommended things, then I suppose the next step is to blame the game  ;)
Jokes aside, I can't understand why this is happening. Once or twice every hour is normal. But if it is happening frequently, I am at a loss. Maybe the game is at fault(though highly unlikely). Or ,just maybe, there is something wrong with the laptop.
Did you make sure the fps is not locked to 40 in hitman's display settings?

As for tekken7, I think the game might be capped at 60fps by default. I haven't played it, so I can't say for sure, but there are discussions from a few years ago that mention tekken 7's mechanics being tied to frame rates and hence the 60fps lock.
And about hitman 16, did you do any GPU driver update around the time when this issue began? I am aware that a few games auto-calibrate their graphic settings after you update drivers, even if you don't want it changed. This might have made the game lock to 40fps.

Bro thanks for the info. I think Tekken 7 is capped at 60fps. My game is fine now, I just restart my laptop and sometimes I fixed the whisper mode of the geforce experience and it turns out in the Geforce control panel the whisper mode settings is @40fps. But when the fps drops unreasonably I close the game put the geforce settings of the game to default and it is good to go again. Thank you very much!
