Aspire 5: Screen blinks black while online (Chrome) - ads

I have an Acer Aspire 5. I wasn't able to find anything on this topic, but it has been happening since I have had the laptop.

When I am using Chrome browser, the screen will blip to a black screen for a second. It almost acts as if the screen is resetting, or some sort of transition is occurring, like I plugged a projector into the computer or something. This only happens when I am using my browser (I only use Chrome). Additionally, it seems to coincide with websites with heavy online advertising.

Is there a setting to adjust for this. Is it Aspire 5 or Chrome? I can't figure it out.

Seemed the PC shipped with bloatware or infected with virus / adware. I'll try to uninstall Chrome with Windows, reboot, download Chrome again from their web site.
