How do you reinstate e-mail access on the Acer Aspire desktop?

    What computer do you have?
    What operating system is on the computer?

    My desktop = Acer Aspire X3950

    OS = Windows 7 Home Premium

    Internet carrier = Comcast (Xfinity)

    Problem = I am no longer able to view my e-mail Inbox or pull up individual messages.  I can get as far as logging in to Comcast and onto their Inbox preview site.  When I click on View Entire Inbox, the screen searches endlessly and does not pull up the Inbox where messages can be read or created.  We have had the computer and the internet service for years, but never had this problem until 2 weeks ago.  The Comcast help line indicated that it's a problem with the desktop, not their internet service.

    What would make our desktop suddenly stop loading the e-mails?  Can anyone offer advice?  Thank you!

    Sounds like a software update of some sort in the last couple of weeks has changed the behaviour of the system.

     

    I would look at Windows Updates that have occured in the last two weeks.

     

    You may want to roll the system back to a known working point (+/- two weeks ago) and see if that resolves the issue.
