my laptop won't turn on can you help me?

poke the battery-reset hole with a pin for 30 seconds or so. Then make sure the battery is fully charged(the charging LED should be blue when you plug in).
When the abrupt shutdown happened, were you plugged or on battery?

If both above steps don't help, then see if you're still under warranty. If you are, then it's better to send it for repairs because some models void their warranty if you open the back.
If your warranty has expired, then try the following:-
1] Open the small lid over the RAM slots and check if your model has a tiny button on the bottom edge. It's a rather odd looking button; you'll have to feel it with your finger to find it. Try taping a small bit of cardboard on that button so that, when you close the lid, it's properly pushed in. Notice a projection on the underside of the plastic lid you took off? That's supposed to keep it pressed but sometimes doesn't do that. So issues like this can happen.
2] If method 1 does not help, then open the back cover entirely. Look for the small coloured cable connecting the battery to the board. See if that cable is properly connected and intact. For example, ants can cut through cables and disconnect them.

If you decide to open the back fully, I'd advise you to look at videos so that you don't rip out your HDD by mistake.
