Acer Aspire 3 Battery Light Flashing Orange

Hi,

I've had my Acer Aspire 3 laptop for about a year now, never had any problems so far. Recently, I've noticed the battery dies a bit quicker than usual.

Whilst charging yesterday, the orange light began blinking orange (a slow pace rather than rapid) and it seemed like the battery percentage wasn't going up. Hovering over the battery icon, it still says "plugged in, charging" however. If I remove the adapter and plug it back in, it will charge properly (a still, orange light), but every and then it will start blinking orange again. I think it's a possible battery fault but not sure how to resolve.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Shutdown Windows. Remove the charger. Gently press and hold a paperclip into the battery reset pinhole for about 30 seconds. Plug the charger back in. If it's steady orange wait till it turns blue. Then turn it back on. If it's still blinking orange, then open DeviceManager. Click batteries folder. Right click and uninstall each driver you find inside this folder. Then exit DeviceManager without re-installing anything. Shut down Windows normally. Turn it back on. Jack E/NJ
