I was relieved to see that so many people having exact same issue, which means there would be a solution. But then it seems like no one has a solution except an external USB keyboard. The keys that are not working are 1,3,_, T, U, P, Z and many more. My 10-year-old Vaio works better than this A515-51G(bought in July 2018). Guys if there is any other solution please share it with us. Thanks!
Acer thanks for letting us down.

Guys, I randomly got the keyboard to work... I've been facing this problem for a long time now and I was really annoyed by it... At first the Acer Support kept dodging and not giving me the way to continue... and once my warranty was up, they told me to update my warranty information... But now they were asking me to pay 5.5k for the keyboard to be replaced which would take em more than 2 to 3 weeks to order... I got annoyed and idk why I randomly thought that I should check for updates...

    The Solution:
For SOME dumb reason... I removed acer quick access (by Mistake) and then thought I should install it again...

All of a sudden my keyboard started working... this is even though it hadn't worked will all the device manager bullcrap (that might have helped a lot of people but certainly didn't help me)
it work's remove acer quick access, i had that annoying problem too.
    Ty soo much TGRage

Hi I have same problem with ACER ASPIRE A515-51G keyboard, ussually (p,t,u,j, 3,5) keys are not responding at all. But I notice one thing then i go to "device manager" and delete keyboard driver without restarting my laptop after 1min those keys start showing live signs. Even now then I am texting this message I write it with original keyboard and sometimes I need press harder sometimes it writes normally. For example 35ptuj these all just type by pressing one time at the time.

So I really think the problem is with acer keyboard drivers and they should fix it!

Same issue encountered on my Aspire A315-53. Keyboard is not working after 9 months. Sometimes it is working, but most of the time it isn't. I tried uninstalling/installing of keyboard but nothing happened. I tried using external keyboard and it works fine.

I sent it to their service center and the diagnosis was "intermittent keyboard". They told me that said part will be replaced.

I'm kind of disappointed to have this problem as this is my first time purchasing an Acer product.

Hopefully, I will never encounter the same problem again after repair.

Sept 2020 and the problem still exists.  G5-793 model.   This will be my last ACER product as I see they don't respond in the forums and step up to back their products.   I'll be sure to spread the word to all my gamer friends to stay clear of ACER.
