In the last 3 weeks I have had to use the recovery USB 5 times to take my laptop back to factory reset, it will work fine for a few days until the darn windows updates start, then it boots to a black screen, It wont let me start up in safe mode, I have tried every way I have found in forums to disable the updates, but the darn thing re-enables itself, I've have updated the drivers immediately after it rebuilds, nothing seems to work, can somebody please help me, right now I have a very expensive paperweight.

    1. Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds or until you hear the computer shut completely off.
    2. Press and hold the Alt and F10 keys while you power the system back on. Release the keys when the Acer logo appears to enter Recovery mode.
    3. Select Troubleshoot.
    4. Click See more recovery options and choose Startup Settings.
    5. Click Restart.
    6. Select option 4. Enable Safe Mode.
    Does this also not work

Thanks, Sam I will try it when I get home from work. It's a method I have not seen yet. I was able to enter Safe Mode using a different method, but when I got in nothing would open. I would click on the Windows Icon and the settings and the blue settings screen with the gear in the center would appear and that's as far as I could get, none of the apps would open even in Safe Mode.
