go to bios try changing SATA mode if it's on AHCI then use RST optain or if on RST then change to AHCI OR try using SATA if you don't have any ssd or nvme ssd

Firstly, what is the BSOD blue scree error code number? As updating a bios from v1.04 which is the first and OEM bios (and its not even on the Aspire A315-42 bios update) to the latest v1.10 which is titled “1. Update for support 20H1 OS” and is specifically for Win-10 version 2004 fixes may or may not cause BSOD error! Firstly, try to update to the latest Win-10 version 2004 and latest OS build as that could be your problem which is causing your BSOD blue scree error with specific software and hardware as your system “theoretically works” and its not bricked which has nothing to do with a bios fault, don't touch it!

After you have your Win-10 version 2004 and OS build up todate and you still get BSOD's then diagnose the specific BSOD blue scree error number systematically and appropriately and take appropriate steps as a bios downgrade will not do anything as it can brick your laptop!
