I have the same Qualcom Atheros qca9377 network adaptor in my F5-771G and as of a couple of months ago my wifi connection constantly disconnects every hour. I look in device manager and the adaptor shows a yellow warning traingle (not sure how to tell what the actual error is). The only solution other than a complete reboot is to disable then reenable the adaptor which solves the problem for a brief while.

I've tried updating the drivers (shouldn't be an issue as Windows 10 autoupdate is on, and even going back to the drivers found on my laptop support page (from 2017!!) , as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the device. No luck.

    Has anyone found a solution?

Since my upgrade to windows 10 creators edition (build 1703) i've found my wifi connection has become a bit fragile, while it works fine most of the time the machine periodically becomes unable to see my router (or any of my neighbors either) and I loose my internet connection

Normally its a simple fix, and running the window 10 troubleshooter re-sets my network adapter and the connection comes back

Occasionally this does not work and I have to re-start the machine

looking online there is a lot of talk about the windows 10 creators update not playing well with various wifi adapters, and one of the suggestions to fix the problem is to re-install the drivers, I've tried to do so via windows but it says i've already got the latest version so there probably isn't a new version out there, but i'd like to re-install a fresh copy of the software incase the windows upgrade has damaged it

but looking on the Acer downloads page for my machine doesn't show any drivers for the qualcom atheros qca9377 wireless network adapter in my machine (the driver version my machine has running is 4.0.2.262)

(the wifi driver for an atheros device on the acer downloads page for my machine is Wireless LAN Driver (NFA435)

Version: 10.0.0.62 which is presumably not what i'm looking for)

can anybody point me in the right direction

Firstly and I strongly recommend that you update your Win-10 from the ancient version 1703 (that is 6 versions behind the current version 2004) and the latest is Version 2004 and OS built 19041.450 as that might also update the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 driver to the latest, to diagnose the problems of this card do the following:

    1. Inspect the card if its seated properly and that the antenna wires (blak/white) are seated and pugged in properly.

    2. In “Device Manager” you either have to “Uninstall Device” which uninstalls all drivers or Update Deiver > Browse my computer for drivers and install the WiFi/BT drivers, get the WiFi driver from here: https://www.ath-drivers.eu/download-driver-for-Atheros-chipset-with-id-104-and-Windows10-64bit.html named: win1064-12.0.0.916-whql.zip and the BT driver from here: https://www.ath-drivers.eu/download-driver-for-Atheros-chipset-with-id-144-and-Windows10-64bit.html named: bt-10.0.0.714-win10.zip

    3. You have to install these drivers through “Device Manager” as they don’t have an executable application file like a .exe

    4. Once you have installed the WiFi and BT drivers and the WiFi or BT is not activated press the F3 Key or the F3 + Fn Keys to activate the WiFi/BT and it should work

If you follow these steps your Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 card should work perfectly, it’s worked for me for many years without any problems and allot of happy internet browsing enjoyment.
