LED1 is on the Motherboard at the very top center edge.
I carefully removed the old battery which had gone dead.
I knew this as I needed to set the Date and Time every Power on/off.
I put the new Battery in and tried to power on.
LED1 started flashing, I think in a three flash cycle.
The Power On button which always illuminated BLUE is now a light PURPLE.
Does anyone have a clue what the PC is trying to tell me?

Can you take a picture showing the CMOS battery installed? You might have mucked up the socket or just installed the battery upside down...
