I have had my Acer Aspire 5810T-8233 for at least 10 years and it still works!! But I would like to buy an equivalent modern version that would be as good, as strong and could last me that long. I use it for email, youtube, university work mainly.

Thank you.

Your Aspire 5810T is a 15" 1366x768 laptop that came with a Core Duo type processor and a maximum of either 4GB or 8GB of memory. That, for the time, was a mid range to high end system. The modern ones can also have 15" displays, but likely 1920x1080 or higher resolution. The newer systems will likely not have a DVD drive. I believe that what's going to be best for you will be one of the Swift, Spin or Aspire models. Look at the Aspire 7, Swift 5 and Spin 3. The last one there may not meet your specs, since it has a 14" screen and no numeric keypad... The advantage to the Spin is the touchscreen, these days I have a hard time navigating a laptop that doesn't have a touchscreen... :)
