My Aspire V Nitro VN7-793G-709A shut down earlier and won't power on?

I have a model VN7-793G-709A and earlier today something weird happened. While using my laptop, the Acer Power Button utility showed up on screen out of the blue and the laptop shut off. The power button refuses to work, and before I tried a battery reset, unplugging it and plugging it back in would start it back up, but it would turn back off after about 5 seconds.

After holding the battery reset button down for a few seconds and waiting a few minutes I plugged it back in and the battery light on the front didn't come on, but after doing it again a second time, it comes back on blue as usual, but will not power on at all.

The power cord seems fine, but I don't know if there's an issue with the battery or the power button. I rarely use the laptop unplugged on battery, and this model is a replacement refurbished model from a couple years ago while the previous one was replaced due to a screen issue that came up under warranty. This one however is out of warranty because of that, and with the current situation of the world, I'm not sure I can get it checked out and don't know how to test either part on my own.

Has anyone had a similar problem to this, and any advice?

Could be your battery that has died and needs replacing or its plug to the mainboard has accumulated dirt and has got a connection issue. Unplug the battery and replug the battery from the mainboard, then see if that fixes the problem? If not, then it’s the battery itself so replace battery and see if that fixes things, also and another way for battery issues is to check the battery with an LCD Digital Multimeter that is also a Voltmeter, Ammeter, Ohm Tester AC/DC 750/1000V Amp Volt Ohm Tester Meter that can check your charge and if connections of wires and plugs at the battery are not shorting and are ok (that is if you have one?) as there could be lots of other problems that could affect your battery and power on/off issues?

Also check your charger, DC jack/plug to mainboard could be faulty and not connecting to charge your battery and need to be checked/replaced. All in all check the power issues first and if its not that then there could be other issues with your mainboard. It’s all a processes of elimination and there is not just a magic pill that we can tell you to do to this problem, do a systematic check as I’ve instructed you to do above, good luck.
