Hello,
My son is using a Chromebook 14 for school and his microphone has been hit or miss when trying to Zoom with his teachers and just in general. It is currently not working at all as I've tried to troubleshoot through the "Camera" app. The camera does work. The Chromebook was updated to the most current version of the Chrome OS today and that did not do the trick. There have been times when it has worked but more often than not it does not work and it doesn't seem to be because of it picking up headphones. I have noticed that I can't get to the microphone setting unless I open Google Chrome and get to it that way instead of on the main page. There are two accounts on this Chromebook and the microphone is not working with either account. I'm reaching out to see if anyone has anything to try. Thanks for your help.

Chromebooks act as a Chrome web browser for pretty much all functions, and Chrome requires you to allow the camera for each site. Use the settings to allow the camera for all Zoom sites and for the Zoom app and it should work.

Thanks, I am aware of that and will check to see if Zoom is in the allow list. I don't recall ever ever seeing the prompt during the time we were troubleshooting. However, the microphone doesn't seem to be working at all. As I mentioned in my first post, I can go to the "Camera" app and try to record and the camera works but the microphone does not. I appreciate your reply.
