Hello everyone !
My laptop started having problems with the "s" key few months ago , working only 1/10 of the times i pressed it. The real problem is that now other keys started not to work , left-shift key has the same problem now,  caps lock as well and the worst of them all , the power button. Also have to mention , on this laptop model , power button is part of the keyboard.
Already cleaned the buttons, removing the button cap and checking for dust, that is not the problem. Also given the fact that the problem is spreading to other buttons , maybe you guys seen this before.
I got two que
stions for you guys,  first , can i start the laptop using a usb keyboard ? And if possible,  what button should i press ?
And second , i attached two pictures of what i think is the keyboard ribbon cable, can you guys tell if the connection looks loose ? or if something looks wrong ?

Don't try to remove key covers. The symptoms suggest hygroscopic debris (not dust--more like tiny food crumbs) is getting into the key mechanisms. Usually worse during humid weather. Only use a soft facial blush brush under the keycovers to help dislodge this material  along with using canned air or similar air blowing at the same time. Yes, you can also use just about any USB wired, wireless or bluetooth keyboard as they should be automatically recognized by the system. The keyboard connector should also be re-seated a few times  to help clean its contacts on the mainboard connector. Jack E/NJ
