I installed the nvme ssd and did the cloning of my OS from hdd. But when i set the boot priority the ssd is not showing under UEFI only the hard disk is showing there. But when i change it to legacy it shows all of the other drives including the SSD but after i set the SSD priority to 1 and save, it says no bootable device.

Take the OLD SPINNER HDD out and then boot ONLY WITH THE NEW NVMe SSD inserted and then it will work, as having both HDD and SSD the system will only recognise the old boot drive and will boot as usual. Btw, if you want to format the old HDD (and use it as a slave?) then buy a SATA to USB adaptor and format the old HDD that way externally and through its 3.0 USB, simple!
